Lost Program after power failure in s7-200...

I read in this forum that the program (Main) is stored in an internal EEPROM and will not be lost. I need battery to be sure? The internal EEPROM is damaged? Thanks for you time.

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	*No, you do not need a battery!!!!!* Battery is necessary to extend the time for retentive data and the internal clock. Concerning you lost program: Do have a memory module connected? If so, then remove it and do a power cycle and check again. If it is plugged in and the program on the memory card is different then the program in the PLC, then after a power cycle the PLC will read the program from the memory card. Hope this helps
