Hi,

I have a program that i managed to extract from an old ABB Micrologix 1000, I need a hand converting it to LOGO, i understand the basics of LOGO programming but i don't understand the language Micrologix uses. The original program was made back in 1996 but the company that made it no longer exists and I have been asked if I can help.

If I can attach the file is someone able to help me please?

The nerd bit.. ABB is not Allen Bradley (AB). The AB brand is owned by Rockwell Automation. 

The equivalent PLC in 1996 was the Siemens S7-200. We are replacing the S7-200 with S7-1200. It is up to you to determine if the LOGO is a good replacement, unless we are able to see the LAD code. It becomes messy when it is text based code.. though that might be imported into AB's Micro800 project. The type of calculations is a metric, whilst the count of networks is another, to determine if a LOGO would work. 

I am hesitant to offer my services to do the conversion for you. So no promises.

Looking at the piece of code you shared: 
There is a chance that the conversion to LOGO! is going to be possible. But it is not going to be easy. It will be difficult to maintain. Possibly best to code something that does the same task rather than doing the conversion. Keep in mind that using LAD in LOGO! is not recommended.

A proper PLC is going to make the job easier. (LOGO! is a smart relay.) I would use a Micro810 from AB for this job, if left with a choice. (CCW software is for free.)

What I am hearing is that you are complaining about this situation. Your response does not say explicitly how we can help you to do your task.

The rumour is that if someone publish a LOGO! related request here, the work is done for them. That expectation is unfair and unjust to our volunteers. Doing the work for you is not what I have in mind. In your case it will give much problems when you need to maintain the work.

The easiest transition for your case is to recode the LAD to the Micro800. That is the very best suggestion I can give you.

Are you still aiming to make a program for the LOGO! smart relay?
Are you aiming to use any Siemens device or aiming to use the Micro800 as I suggest?

Do you have enough information already or do you want more?
Are you able to make a function description?
Do you have any indication on what devices are connected on the inputs and outputs?
Is there an HMI connected to the PLC?.. is there any more documentation that you are able to fill in?
