MP377 COMPATIBILITY

Sindhu Posts: 163 Rating: (0)	Hi All! The required configuration is as attached. There are two PROFINET ports(X1 P1and X1 P2)in MP377.On checking, the two ports cannot be used for redundancy. One of the port is connected to the network switch. I jus wanted a confirmation whether the other port can be used for communicating with existing Siemens Quadlog system (which runs on PCS7 HMI platform) thorugh OPC.AND HOW? If you want to visualize the process of the plc with PCS7, then you can do it. Why do you want to use a OPC connection? Bye

Darius Platinum Expert Joined: 9/28/2005 Last visit: 7/24/2025 Posts: 2957 Rating: (243)	Hi, You can use system like you attached, but you must keep in mind that connection to redundant CPU must be configured similar like described here http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/23842653 Both, CPU and PCS7 system must use the same OP IP address, because both ports have the same IP. Its like one network card with two connectors.
