Hello I have problem with functions norm_x and scale_x

I have values from absolute encoder .... 

min = 255861

max= - 518817

... i need to make scale for height from 0 to 20 cm with this values ... i dont know how to convert the values with this functions..... please help me 

First, NORM converts your raw values to values from 0 - 1 (per unit value)
SCALE takes a value from 0-1 and changes it into engineering units

Since your values are opposite polarity, the first thing would be to multiply your encoder value by -1.

Now you can enter the range limits (MIN, MAX) into NORM and get a 0-1 value.  MIN is now negative, MAX is now positive.

Use this value for the SCALE.  Your output parameters are 0 and 20 as range limits.

ok my mistake ... thank you for your help i will try today when i m at the machine.. so the range will be from 0 to 200 mm .. look what i did and tell me if this is correct or no ... i think no because when i try something i see some values... but i cant receive the values that i want.. thank you again

First, multiply your encoder value by -1 because your encoder polarity is reversed (fc301_1.absolute encoder value).

In the NORM block, the MIN cannot be larger than the MAX, so reverse the sign on those. 

Min = -255861

Max = 518817

Your output is Tag_24.

No idea what the Convert block is doing.
