I have a question about sinamics G120 PM240-2, customer ask me the value of Power unit temperature alarm threshold...they need one value to set on their system before the value reach they want to do some alert, something like that. So how to calculate the temperature value? or we just monitor at parameter r0036 first before run the inverter and take the value as a reference?

Please Help Me on this...

r36 provides thermal load (I²t) in percentage (%), not actual temperature of the power unit.

Is this what is required?

r36 is a value of I²t in percentage (%), this is current over time, which is a calculation for the 'work' the drive is performing. This is not an indication of 'temperature'.

 the r36 parameter will have value when vfd have overtemperature alarm, and for parameter P0294 default setting is 95%....it means after 95% from alarm value VFD will trip overtemperature right?

r0036 - It is calculated I2t value i.e. overload value in %. p0294 = 95% means when power module current reaches to alarm threshold value, ALARM 07805 will be triggered for power module overload & not over temp. When power module current reaches to 100% fault F30005 POWER UNIT OVERLOAD I2t will be triggered.

r0037 - will display PM temp in deg centigrade. Its ALARM threshold is set in p0292 & corresponding alarm will be triggered whereas PM overtemp FAULT fault will be triggered when set PM temp is detected by sensor.
