S120 : X127 remote connection

I want remote acces to all of these components by VPN-connection. The comfort panel is connected to the PN-port of the cpu, but no further profinet devices are connected to the plc. The CU320-2 is connected to the plc by profibus. I know that this S7 cpu should allow routing from ethernet to profibus to connect to the drives, but I am considering not use this feature and connect the CU320-2DP to the ehternet network by using the X127 port. Is this possible or not?

I never tried but the link below say you are OK to use acyclic connection(S7 protocol). http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/48194324 By the way I think you will need to configure this connection trough the PLC. Check 68624711 application example. I hope you share how did you make it work. Cheers
