I have 7 s7 224xp cpus and i want to connect them using the mode master slave to collect data for scada station .

Is it achievable with profibus cable and connection

Short answer: Yes.

A network of RS485 connected PLCs is possible when using Profibus cables and Profibus connectors. The protocol can be PPI (MPI), USS or Modbus RTU when using the built-in DB9. Put and Get instructions can be used without license. This is what HMIs use for communications.

Profibus communication is possible when using the Profibus extension card (6ES7 277--0AA22--0XA0). But this card makes the S7-200 work as slaves only, which may be okay if the SCADA is the master.

can i make this connections with  cable and db9 connectors and for end resistors i use 2x390 ohm and 220ohm without buying siemens connectors ?
