KMcD Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	HI I AM TRYING TO SIMULATE IN STEP 7 BASIC V12. I HAVE INSTALLED S7 PLCSIM V12. I CHANGED THE PG/PC TO S7ONLINE PLCSIM S7-1200 / S71500.TCPIP.1. WHEN IN THE PROJECT VIEW THE START SIMULATION ICON ISN`T LIT? ALSO WHEN I TRY TO ESTABLISH A VIRTUAL ONLINE CONNECTION THROUGH ONLINE ACCESS A CONNECTION IS UNABLE TO ESTABLISHED?

With PLCSIM V12 you can only simulate the PLC S7-1500! So if you have only a step7 Basic V12 there is no PLC available in TIA which can be simulated with PLCSIM V12. Regards Christoph

Follow the link which was provided then you need V13 SP1 so simulate a S7-1200 V4! Which S7-1200 with which FW (order Number) you will simulate? Only the FW V4 or above can be simulated with PLCSIM V13 SP1 ! Regards Christoph

And you must use TIA V13 SP1 and PLCSIM V13 SP1 for simulating! Create an S7-1500 project and copy the code from your S7-1200 to the new project. For simulating portions of code this works very good. I have used this method before we had TIA13.1. Helpful? w

Helpful? w Hi, but for S7-1500 he need Step7 Professional, but he have only basic, so simulating S7-1500 can be possible with the PLCSIM but he can't create and config the PLC in TIA
