Hi,

I am in the process of migrating all our STEP7 PLC programs to TIA Portal. I have successfully migrated one with Profibus DP Electric Actuators with no problem. In some of our programs we interface with various types of Profibus DP devices and the SIRIUS 3RW44 soft starter is one of them. When I try to do the migration I get an error message (Option package(s) missing in STEP7 V5.4 or V5.5).

The only thing I can think of is that I don't have the correct software package in TIA portal to connect to this drive.

The following software packages is installed on my TIA portal:

TIA Portal V13 SP1

Simocode ES V13 SP1

SINAMICS Startdrive V13 SP1

WinCC Advanced V13 SP1

What else do I need?

have you open the project in you classic Step7 V5.x installation and check if any message pop up that a SW Package or HardwareSupportpackage is missing to work with the package?

Hello,

there is no SW Package for SoftStarter available.

The only thing i found is a FAQ which describes the procedure to integrate the 3RW44 as DP-Slave in a TIA Project.

So i think this is the only way which is possible.
