Hi All,

Is there a simple way to get the status of an individual slice of an ET200S node on Profinet with S7-300? All I need is a bit to say it is present and happy.

I have looked and FB126 and can get the node status, but I have no information on how to get the individual slice status.

I had found those, but I don't have Step 7, so I gave them both 1 star rating as there isn't a TIA Portal version.

They both only give me the status of the node itself, unless I have missed something, and I need the status of the slice.

I mean the slot as in the electronics module plugged into the terminal module.

I didn't know what to call it, but I don't mean the whole node.

On our machines, we allow electronics modules to fail without stopping the machine. We might stop part of the system or disable some automation, but we allow the machine to run if possible. With our previous supplier, they had an extra bit in the i/o mapping from the module/slice/slot/whatever to the PLC called ModuleOK and it is this that we are trying to replicate.
