Hi. I think we should separate what it means to upgrade software You can make a clean installation of the demo / trial software of the newest version software and by adding a valid licence (of the same version), you have the full functioning package. The Automation License Manager software is used to combine an older license with an upgrade license to make one new license. That means there is no need to install the old software onto a new computer. The unfortunate situation (for V10.5) is that a V13 upgraded license (example) cannot be used to make the V10.5 software work. Also note that the upgrade license for Step7 Basic V13 SP1 (6ES7822-0AA03-0YE5) upgrades V11 or V12 and not V10.5 ..you may find out that buying Step7 Basic V13 SP1 as full package, will be better. w Further reading.. |

Hi William, I know how William , thank you for your explanation , but in my country and I think others will have had the so-called (SUS) Siemens update service, then I want to install from V10.5 ( New License for TIA) that is not possible in W7 till V13 (Upgrade with SUS to V11-V12-V13) in new laptop with W7 64 bit |
