Hi, i upgraded my Win to 8.1 and later to 10.1 Pro and i keep having the same problem with the side windows. When i close them ti makes these "waves" as i show in the photo.

Also even though my pc has i7 cpu and 12gb ram the TIA is really slow....is there any setting to speed it up?

As told by Nanag, Officially Win10 is not listed in the compatibility table with SIMATIC Step 7 TIA V13 til now.

And please tell us what type of your hard disk. Is it HDD or SSD?

SSD is better as recommended from Siemens and also many users here traid and tested the differences.

What are the requirements for installing STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V13?

My hard disk is SSD.

But the problem is that i had the same problem during Win 8.1 Pro, before the win 10 update!

this loks like graphic driver issue, pls try look for new/updated graphic card driver. Hope this will be solution for you.

Please tell us does these waves happen with all software packages or only with STEP 7 TIA?

If it happen with all installed packages, please try the following things. I hope one of them will help:

• Please ensure that the resolution of the display is meet the requiremnts recommended from Siemens. Which is : 1920 x 1080
• Update your graphics driver
• Change the power cable connecting to your monitor.
• Change the power socket your monitor is connecting too.
• Change the VGA/DVI / HDMI cable conencting to your PC; if you are working on a PG or Laptop, Try to use an external display and tell us if the problem still exist or not.
• Check your fans in your PC. The temps could be better - The fans just may have excess dust on them.

If the problem happen only with Siemens STEP 7 TIA, Please try to re-install it. I don't know if something wrong happen during installation.

Or you can start a support request.

 My PC (Laptop) is brand new and fully equiped to support TIA.

In Fact that is the problem....that i can not load win 7 which i knew it worked before perfect in TIA and other programms...My laptop supports 10.1.

So i answer in the above questions
1. Yes the resolution is 1920 x 1080
2.The grafics driver is updated
3.There is no cords because of the laptop
4.I use base with fans to cool the laptop

TIA portal, long reaction time 

SIMATIC Manager takes too long to startup

TIA Portal what MUST absolutely be improved!!!??? 

Sometimes it helps to reduce your pain by knowing that you are not the only one who is suffering.
