I have good news.

I have managed to acces all 4 SCALANCES using PST Tool and configured every one with an IP adress.

As for the Redundancy I will use your ideea (only one SCALANCE).


For the moment I don't have both PC stations so I will only try to acces from only one WinCC RT.

For this I allready made a beta version for the RT, imported all tags from exisiting STEP 7 project.

I have copyed the WinCC project to the PC but I can't load it.
I get a message that no server is configured, "do you want to use it localy?"

At the end another error and I can't load it.

I am not sure how to configure the operating system of the PC (XP Prof SP3).

I know I have to load XDB file.

What I can see different from my laptop where I have i have WinCC RC is that under SQL Server Management (My Computer, Manage, etc) SQL Server&Agent (WINCC) services are not running.

Could this be the cause?

Related to WinCC Tag management, what type of connection should I use?
Industrial Ethernet, Industrial Ethernet II, TCP/IP?

I have used Named connections; - also used the firs time I have used a tag.


Also I defined a connection type S7 Connectionbetween the first CP443-1 from my H system and CP 1613 A2.

In HW i have used WINCC Appl.
In WinCC the project s declared as a Single Client, but now if I check in WinCC Computer type I see Server



Is there a manual refering to my questions and about the configuration of PC stations?
