I'm working on establishing PUT/GET communication between my Visual Studio application and a Siemens PLC using TIA Portal V20. Everything is configured properly on the Visual Studio side — including S7 communication settings — but when I go into the TIA Portal project, I face an issue. The checkbox “Permit access with PUT/GET communication from remote partner” is greyed out and cannot be enabled. Additionally, the Access level setting cannot be changed to “Full access”, even though I have already created user accounts (including admin roles) under the device’s web server configuration. I suspect there might be a higher-level protection mechanism, project setting, or security level blocking these changes, but I haven't been able to identify it yet. PUT/GET is available on all access levels except "No access (complete protection)", which is the standard access level since the configuration via "Users and roles" became mandatory.

To change the access level you have to assign the corresponding runtime rights to the user "Anonymous" and activate that user.
