unable to startup plcsim

mustang.157 Posts: 2 Rating: (1)	dear members . i got windows vista on my pc and i got step7 5.4 everything works fine . but when i try to start plcsim i get the following error: "S7-plcsim 4050:201 there are currently applications connected to real online cpu's , you must close them before the simulator can be started" i must also mension that there are no other applications running . and i also don't have any hardware installed for connection to plc's. I just want to simulate mine program's before i try them at real plc's at work. i hope someone can tell me what i do wrong, because i'm not an expert at step7. regards dave

INS Gold Member Joined: 4/6/2006 Last visit: 6/24/2025 Posts: 604 Rating: (56)	Hi, Do you really have PLCSIm v5.4? installed? Because this isn't released for Vista. You should at least install SP1. Maybe that solvesthe error. Download Service Pack 1 for S7-PLCSIM V5.4 Otherwise you could check or PLCSIM is runnig already. Maybe there is something wrong with the installation.

The software detects any connection via this card - even if it's 'ordinary' windows communication. Set the PG/PC Interface to NONE or anything else than ethernet.
