Dear Users ,

I want to control a Screw Down Operation whose operation is completely hydraulic , UP and DOWN .

IN cold Strip Mill , Operator will put the Desired output Thickness from Scada and we need to use that as our setpoint in FB42 . The PV is the actual thickness coming out and measured with the gauge transducer and takem in PLC as analog input.

So In this way , SP and PV is fed into out FB42 step control system.

Now , In this system we need a very precise control like If operator has put the SP as 2.3 mm then the error can only vary b/w + - 0.05 that means in between -2.35 and + 2.35.

For achieving the same ,

what are the things , I should kept in mind and what should be the ideal values for P , I and D ?

Is FB42 an ideal way to deal with this kind of process ? Please advise Users.

Our Output for FB42 is linked directly with screw down up and down solenoids.
