WinCC Flexible 2005 - System Clock Hickup

Moida Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a PC running with WinCC Flexible 2005 RT, with an ethernet connection to a S7-315-2 PN/DP. The clock on the PC jumps one hour back every hour. Studying the log-files also shows that if the clock is manually adjusted, then this is the new startpoint for the repeating hourly hickup. There is no time-sync activated in my project. I am aware that I can implement the function for reading the S7-315-2 PN/DP time, but that would just be to cure the symptoms, rather than eliminating the problem. It must be mentioned that I have an additional PC connected, running with WinCC Flex RT Smart Access option, to display the process screens remotely. What could be causing the system clock hickups? Moida Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm not using the timesync at all. I suspect that the System Clock Hickup on the Main Operator PC, started after the additional RT Remote Access PC was connected. The equipment is in operation offshore, unfortunately I'm not able to access it now. However, we saw that it was possible to change/update the clock on the PC. Then the clock is ticking 1 hour, before it jumps 1 hour back again (loop). Example: Setting the time of day on the PC to 10:40, then after an hour, at 11:40, instead of going 11:41, it goes 10:40 again. I have old logfiles that shows that it used to work OK, before we added the additional RT Remote Access PC. Another issue is that this RT Remote Access PC has a rather long CAT 5 cable (110m), but I didn't think that it would affect the Clock on the Main Operator PC... Regards, Moida
