I am trying to add a ET200SP PROFIBUS node to our current automat, thus using the GSD file as we are not using a SIEMENS software.

I first tried to add all in once my node with the interface and peripheric modules, but it was all blinking (DIAG LEDs on the I/O modules and RUN LED on the IM155-6). So we chose to proceed step by step.

When only connecting the IM 155-6 DP HF to its server module, the RUN LED switches on, like it is functionning. Now I add an AQ module on a type A0 light base unit, configure its outputs and declare that its base unit is of the light type.

But it results on the AQ module's DIAG LED blinking, and in the software, I see a difference between what I configured (light BU) and the actual configuration (dark BU), as if the module returned the information that its base unit is of the dark type whereas it's not. Yet, when adjusting output ranges, these changes seem to be accepted by the module.

Does someone have any clue about what may cause this discordance between physical+software configuration and return from the module, and most importantly, how to solve it?

It seems that we can only share one picture at the same time, so I attached a pdf with the software's real & declared configurations + the hardware configuration and comments.

We are using Freelance as our software, and ABB AC800FR automats, mostly working with PROFIBUS DP nodes.

Here's an update if anyone faces the same issue:

- As ABB Freelance doesn't support GSD revision 5, the GSD file used must be v. 4.2 rev 3.

- We had ABB Freelance 2019, which had some bugs when configuring PROFIBUS slaves (e.g. it deactivated channels even though default configuration was "active", at least in French version). ABB support advised us to uninstall it and switch to Freelance 2019 SP1 with Roll-Up 3 (a more recent version with patches) and now it all works.
