CPU412-5H ALL LEDs Flashing

AutoGen_663395 Member Joined: 12/24/2012 Last visit: 10/28/2024 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	We have a SITE installation with CPU412-5H 6ES7-412-5HK06-0AB0 with Firmware V6.0.2 , CPU suddenly started Flashing all the LEDs , the system swicthed to solo mode . Attached is the Diagnostic buffer of the CPU. After Power ON/OFF to this CPU the CPU is running OK. What could cause such a event , and how we can prevent this in future. hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 10/26/2024 Posts: 6852 Rating: (1365)	Hello, As I have had many cases to check CPUs with blinking LEDs , it always leads to a self test and memory reset.It means, there is no event left in the faulty CPU.You should upload buffer of both CPUs and tell us which CPU was intact.Normally,most of the cases the reason can be physical,rule violation of installation and maintaining the H-CPUs.Search the Forum and S7-400 installation manual for more tips for how manipulate CPUs. meeda Bronze Member Joined: 6/26/2013 Last visit: 10/19/2024 Posts: 143 Rating: (5)	AutoGen_663395 CPU suddenly started Flashing all the LEDs I once had this problem with CPU414-4H system. Few times it happened and after reset worked fine but eventually the CPU was unable to reset. The LEDs kept on blinking. So after some research, I updated the firmware version of both CPUs of 414-4H system. We could not exactly find what initially caused the LEDs to blink but the CPUs never bothered me again.
