Rudrani Posts: 163 Rating: (4)	Hi all, I have a siemse encoder (drive cliq) which is configured as an external encoder 2 with D410. In positioning mode, when start command is given from control priority, conveyor runs and an alarm message occursas "fault no 7900: motor locked/ high speed limit reached". So can anybodytell me the steps to configure external encoder 2 for positionig mode?... software version: SIMATIC SCOUT 4.3 pls help as soon as possible. thanks & regards, Rudrani

If you use the external encoder and you get overspeed, normally the direction of the motor- and external encoder are different. Please move the axis (for example in speed control mode in one direction) and the motor and external encoder should have the same direction and (approx.) the same speed. Best Regards Zako
