[quote user="css6"] is there any risk if i have cpu version 4.0.7 and i have downloaded into it hardware configuration for 4.0.0. i am getting a warning right now. Normally you get this message because the version difference, because the version difference is not direct behind the 4 (like 4.1) it is no problem. The versions are upwards compatible, if version V4.1.0 is coming out, most of the time there are new functions implemented. When not installed in the Hardware projecting then this new functions wouldn't be available, but it will give no further problems for the working. When you of course made the Hardware projecting with a newer CPU-version then what you have it could give troule with newer functions that are used. I think you didn't mean GSD- files but the HSP-files {Hardware Support Package}, this are also downloadable under the next link: How can you update the hardware catalog without direct Internet access? But for this version there is no HSP.. When you don't have the opportunity to go with STEP7 online you may download the HSP as a ZIP-file under the next link: Hardware Support Packages (HSPs) [8)] GSD-files are to couple the CPU as a slave to another master on Profibus DP. I hope that the answer will help, if you have still questions, don't hesitate to ask me. |
