Dear Experts.

I have a CPU 317F 2Pn/DP communicating with a IM151 module having a Supply module, TC input card, 2 Ai input card and an 2 RO NO card.

I had to replace my 2 AI Input card. when i replaced it with a new one, i got continuously lit SF led on this card and a SF & BF led`s flashing on my IM 151 module (6ES7 151-1AA05-0AB0.

I checked the diagnostics and found that my module IM151 module is not being detected. Is this error because of the faulty 2 AI card or something terrible happened with my IM151 module.

I cannot download the hardware configuration as the program provided by my vendor is write protected. Need your expert advise as to how i restore the modules back.

Have you changed also the base or only the module? When you have BF led lit mean that you have to check cable,connector and so on..... have you touched the address of the slave base?

i have only tried to replace the module (2 AI card). I dit not touch the cables or the base itself.

 and If you put back the original module the slave running? Also before the BF led was lit?

Now if i put the original module back, the SF and BF led is still flashing.....and the Sf LED on the module is always ON now.

 have you changed the module with power on? Can you turn off and then on the power of the system?

i have changed the 2AI card module when power ON. I did not try to change the module with power off. Do you mean to remove the 24Vdc power module or the entire power to the IM151 module?

 to change module should be done with power off, 

 for the power off it would be better the CPU also, perhaps the slave restart

 to change module should be done with power off, 

 for the power off it would be better the CPU also, perhaps the slave restart

i will first try to restart the slave, if that doesnt work i will think about the CPU.
