a7914a Posts: 29 Rating: (0)	Hi, i am new to ET200s. I just recieved a module IM151-7 (6E27 151-7AA11-0AB0). I am trying to link up/download/communicate with this device using step-7 with MPI andwhich everytime i start downloading through hardware config, it gives me the error of "No other active partner can be found" I followed the manuel "IM 151-7 CPU Interface Module" and i still couldnt communicate with it. Could someone pls tell me what are the things i should lookout for? THanks

a7914a Posts: 29 Rating: (0)	Thanks for replying. Liked i said, i read that chapter and yet i still cant communicate my ET-200S as stand-alone(MPI). My ET-200S STOP-LED keep flashing non-stop though.... Could it be some error that preventing me from commmunicating? Thanks

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Member Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 11/4/2024 Posts: 4351 Rating: (1452)	Hi, I don’t know exactly what happens but I have some suggestions / question: 1 – Is there a MMC card on the IM-CPU? 2 – Is the MMC leer or has a wrong configuration inside? 3 – Have you tested MPI with the option only master on the bus? 4 – Have you tested to use the option MPI/PB (auto)? 5 – Have you tested to use the option Diagnose of PG/PC interface (only for PROFIBUS)? 6 – What cable are you using? This cable works with other CPU?

If this does not work it may be necessary to download the first configuration to the MMC card and than check once again. Best regards J_Bell [:)]

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Member Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 11/4/2024 Posts: 4351 Rating: (1452)	Hi, if in your MPI cable stay "MPI cable" you really can't work with it in Profibus.Ifit hasa "MPI/DP" text, then you can choose the option PC Cable (Profibus) up to 1.5Mbits.

But it seems that there is an error as shown in this link http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y230/Fatty1234/pic6.jpgwhich i am unable to clear/reset it.[:(] I have alreadycontacted my tech support. While waiting for their reply, was hopping anyone could help out. Thanks.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hi, it is hard to say, with this Error message, what might be the cause. Have you ever tried to upload the HW to see if there is something wrong? On the other hand it is the best to contact the Customer Support with such Information because they are able to contact the development and ask for more information there. Best regards J_Bell
