Profibus connection between D435 and S7 315-2DP

SzymekEl Posts: 39 Rating: (3)	Hello everyone, I have problem with profibus connection between Simotion D435 and Simatic 315-2DP. I want S7 as master and Simotion as slave. In diagnostic tool of 'Set PG/PC interface...' Simotion station is active, but in HW config of Simatic module is not avalibe. I will be glad of any information, links or maybe example. I will be glad of any information, links or maybe example. Regards, Szymon I have not worked with Simotion D435 but itshould be like other DP Slaves . Since you are already able to detect the Simotion Station D435 Active in PG/PC Interface that means Simotion D435 is live on Profibus Network. Now you only need to check the parameters of Slave Device. Parameters should match with Hardware configuration like I/O length .....etc.

The configuration for SIMOTION D as slave is parametrized on the properties tab of the connected DP Interface in HWConfig. In the SIMATIC Station the D435 must be configured via GSD or iSlave Object. ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 11/14/2024 Posts: 22452 Rating: (3030)	Hello, 2 errors in the Configuration. 1.) if you use SIMOTION D is passive slave then the checkbox und DP Slave in Pic SIMOTIONconfig1.jpg must be deactivated 2.) Configuration of GSD and Slave are not the same in the GSD you have configured 2x16word out and 2x16 word in in the slave you have configured 1x32 word in and 1x 32 word out BUT 2 x 16 <> 32 !! The GSD says you have in the slave 4 slots for data, the slave says i have 2 slots for data, that's don't work. configure in the slave 2x16 word in and 2x 16 word out and it works Regards Christoph
