0_Einstein Diamond Member Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 11/19/2024 Posts: 15406 Rating: (2446)	Milosh Datasheet Fig 21 of the 2nd posted datasheet shows how to wire it up to the plc. Yes, you would connect to a HSC input so you could convert the pulses to frequency and calibrate as required for your project. If you have the PNP or NPN style batch controller, you wire per that Figure. Hopefully it is pnp to make things easier for you.

I need to connect P+ output of the device to HSC input of PLC, and P- from 0V of my power supply. (see attached doc.) Specification: frequency is from 0.6 to 2200Hz, HSC is 100Hz. Is that essential for accuracy of flow? How to handle that on TIA side? Attachment pulse.pdf (677 Downloads)

It is burkert 8030 (electronic SE30 an fitting S030) with PNP pulse output. DN20 with paddle wheel. K factor for the that is 66,5 pulses/litre. I need to know how to configure HSC in TIA (type of counting, operating phase and other). For now I configure type as counting, and operating phase as single. Counting works. I think that I need to multiply every pulse with some number to get amount of litres?

I think that I need to multiply every pulse with some number to get amount of litres? I recently posted (today) about a similar setup. I suggested setting the HSC configuration to frequency. Then your flow rate, Q, is directly proportional to frequency, f, by the K factor, 66,5 ppl. If your HSC input is ID1000 is the frequency measurement, you will want to tune your digital input filtering to match your needs as well - which you may have done already for the HSC to work. To get your Q, simple algebra: Q = f / k = ID1000 x 66,5 x time-scale-factor-as-required Please post back what you find.
