Using PID for the speed output of the two main blowers

Example If temperature decrease for 4 degrees, gate will be open for short time, if decrease more and more the open time of gate will be longer, i will use pid for speed output the 2 main blowers, but i didn't know how to include the material gate. I will be happy for any answer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from PID for Temperature Controller.

PID Control for Blower Speed: Implement a PID controller to regulate the speed of the blowers based on the difference between the desired temperature setpoint and the actual measured temperature. The PID controller will calculate a control signal that adjusts the blower speed to maintain the temperature at the desired setpoint. 2. Material Gate Control: To control the opening of the material gate based on the temperature decrease, you can set up a conditional statement within your control algorithm. Determine the desired temperature range within which the gate should remain closed. If the temperature falls below this range, it indicates a need for material flow, and you can trigger the opening of the gate. 3. Gate Opening Time Calculation: The duration for which the gate remains open can be proportional to the magnitude of the temperature decrease. You can define a function or map the temperature decrease to an appropriate gate opening time using a mathematical relationship, such as a linear or non-linear mapping. Experimentation and calibration may be required to determine the optimal relationship between temperature decrease and gate opening time. 4 System Integration: Integrate the gate control logic into your overall temperature control system. This can involve coordinating the actions of the PID controller for blower speed and the gate control mechanism. Ensure that the gate control action does not interfere with the temperature regulation process performed by the PID controller. 5 Testing and Calibration: Thoroughly test and calibrate the temperature controller to ensure it functions as intended. Validate its performance under different temperature conditions and adjust the control parameters if necessary.

I would do the follow: Define a variable in Time-format to use it for a timer which open your material gate. If you calculate the difference between your target temperature and your actual temperature then you can assign the "right time" to your timer. Here is a example in SCL (I don't know which PLC do you use) IF TempDiff <= 2.0 THEN ValueTimer := T#2000ms; ELSIF TempDiff > 2.0 AND TempDiff <= 4.0 THEN ValueTimer := T#4000ms; ELSIF TempDiff > 4.0 THEN ValueTimer := T#8000ms; END_IF; You should use the timer as Pulse so that the time is the length of your output pulse. Restart the timer maybe every 10 s. This is only a suggestion to define the open time of your material gate. If you need the example in a other "language" please let me know. regards CaOd
