Using unified or professional?

To choose the right system, many factors are important. Among other things, it is a question of which control system is used for communication, what the alarm system must be able to do, whether recipes are required, what must be logged, and much more.

I myself do not like to project an HMI or SCADA, I find the effort is too great and would like it to be easier. However, I myself see great potential in WinCC Unified and would rather rely on it for the future. However, since the range of functions is limited - even if it will soon be expanded by V18 - it would be advisable to have the requirements checked by the technical consulting. Nothing is more damaging than a failure shortly before the goal because a function is missing.

Hi Pedro,

For me, the determining difference is whether or not you require server redundancy in your SCADA architecture.

If yes, you need WinCC Professional as it is not possible in WinCC Unified (yet).

If not, I would go for WinCC Unified.
