Modbus TCP with PAC3200

Milos Petrovic Posts: 146 Rating: (7)	Hi people! I have problem in reading data from PAC3200 wtih ET200S PLC over Modbus TCP. I would like to read PAC3200 parameter from address 801 (Active Energy Import Tariff 1) which is DOUBLE type (4 WORDS). I would like to transfer received parameter to data block and show it on SCADA WinCC Flexible but I don't know which data type to use! As I know supported data types are up to 32 bits. How to make 32bit value from 64bit value read from PAC3200? Communication works fine and I have no problems reading 32bit values (float). Please help me! Best regards!

Valli Posts: 262 Rating: (45)	Hi Milos, You have to upgrade the firmware of PAC 3200 and the problem will be resolved. just follow the steps as under:- 1) Download Powerconfig V2.3 from this website. 2) Connect it with PAC 3200 via Ethernet cord and synchroise their IP's so that you can parameterise PAC 3200 via power config. 3) Download a firmware in the below link and call new registers 2801 etc.. https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&nodeid5=38718979&lang=en&siteid=csius&aktprim=0&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW&objid=25239456&treeLang=en Enjoy... the problem will be solved now

On the posted link there are several download links. I'm facing the same problem now so I need support. I wonder how to check if my PAC3200 already have the firmware needed, so maybe the upgrade isn't necessary. Best regards

Valli Posts: 262 Rating: (45)	HI, The latest firmware is V2.3.5.... Pls go thru the link with Date2014-12-03 & ID: 31674577. Read the document properly before upgrading the firmware, like control supply should not be break during the process... language pack should also be updated etc... Else you may loose your PAC 3200 forever

But I can not find any modbus register table with those new registers like you said (2801) ? How could I see those new registers ? Thank you
