WinAC RTX 2010 - W7 vs XP

Ivo vd E. Posts: 20 Rating: (1)	Like the title say's: What is a better OS for WinAC RTX 2010: the 32bit Windows 7 or the 32bit Windows XP SP3. What are your experiences.. e.g. wich one is the most reliable, the best performance, and so on... I'm making a new setup for a testing system, and it will be a VM on a ESX server with XP-SP3 & WinAC 2010 & STEP7 v5.5 or W7 & softwarepackage.

TomDeWou Platinum Expert Joined: 11/15/2006 Last visit: 5/7/2021 Posts: 1319 Rating: (173)	Remember that the WinAC RTX includes a RealTime Extension to the Windows kernel - running on a VM does make sense at all because you might loose the Realtime capability. I don't know how it will behave on such a system you want to use, but on a quite normal VM Wareyou do not have any Realtime.
