Hi,

I'm struggling with communication between TP1200 Comfort V17.0.0.0 update 8 not communicating with 1518f V3.1. I'm using TIA Portal V20 update 3.

• Both devices are on same network, reachable by PG.
• HMI connection created
• Access control in PLC is disabled
• Legacy communication of HMI enabled
• When monitoring online connections, HMI connection appears for brief moment and then disappears

I've tried to download newer image from page https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109825750, but newer images can be downloaded only some new software HMI PIU Installer. But newest ones are V17. App is very Siemens, when I try to download V17 images, app just throws an error with no error code/message.

Did Siemens changes anything recently regarding HMI communication?

Siemens now utilize SSL/TLS encryption for establishing a connection for HMIs V17.0. and higher.

Long story short, since there are certificates in play, there need to be correct date & time set on HMI (possibly PLC?!?).
