I would answer yes. Remember, it’s nothing to do with control unit parts number, 0AA0 or 0BA1 or xxx2, no relation with E039 error 

can you please make more details of your situation? Best post picture—showing control (611U) and

power Section at the same time, and what is the story.? You replace control card?

It's good to know your settled the  issue. But it is very strange--encoder cable will cause Error 504: Measuring circuit error, motor measuring system.

A039 is sure for module identification

I make many test for drive and motor by 611U control and using SIMO COM U. when I insert 611 U card from one drive module into another one it will showing A039 on small display and on SIMO COM U screen .

if the later module different from the one I just used . I need initial the card to make new set up.

Do you know this is happen only for module # -0AA1 or 0AA2, as old version -0AA0 is no auto identification
you must select module manully when doing set up.
