I have an additional question about the DIs that are apparently on it. The IOT-2050 is supposed to have 20x digital inputs and outputs, but I don't really see those described anywhere? Is this via an extra module that you have to install? The starter kit has an extra module with a few IOs but not 20. Is there perhaps additional information about this? I can't find any order numbers for extra modules on the IOT-2050 in the Siemens mall.

Hi, the IOT2040/2050 has the interface of the Arduino Uno R3 on-board. You can use this interface for 3,3V/5V inputs/outputs and other functionality. For 24V inputs/outputs you can use the Siemens I/O Module (6ES7647-0KA01-0AA2)with 5DIs, 2AIs and 2DOs. There is as well a Siemens Shield with 10x 24V DIs (6ES7647-0KA02-0AA2) Best regards! |
Not working for IOT2050 support anymore from March 1st, 2024. |
