Hi to all,

I was working with project then my pc closed accidentally. After restarting pc, i got error message is "project is damaged". I have backup files but don t know how to open. What i need to do. The project is so important to me.  I researched on the forum and internet can not found significant knowledge to solve quickly.

I use Tia Portal v13 SP1 UPD9 & Windows 7 32bit.

 Here you will find some information about xxx.backup files -> send project to Technical Support if you can no longer operate...

I solved problem myself. Maybe this will help any other people who experienced that problem. I opened new project and added same hardware then closed new project.  Copied system folder from damaged project and paste to the new project system folder and opened new project succesfully.

 Amazing tip, worked WONDERS! 

I would also add that you should be careful to also copy content from "IM" folder of corrupted project, it will bring your HMIs to the new "uncorrupted" project.

YAY Siemens for asking us to send bkp files to your support guys instead of working out our problems ourselves! Imagine me telling my client "now machine will have to stay idle because I'm waiting for an answer from Siemens"

 Oh wow!! I just had same problem on a project I worked for a few weeks and thought I was royally scr***d. This solved my problem also. Thanks
