Hi, By the first look, it looks like your linkup/update sequence is being cancled. Maybe caused by timeout. It is only my theory but think about it: If you put the reserve CPU from Stop to RUN it should initiate a Linkup(S7-400H System Manual, 07/2014, A5E00267695-13, page137). So that is why it Stops. After a minute, it request a memory reset, probably means it failed the linkup and update and have an inconsytent memory content.(based on the note on the page referenced above) Also relating info in the same document: S7-400H System Manual, 07/2014, A5E00267695-13, page 161: "Memory reset request on cancelation of link-up If the link-up operation is canceled while the content of load memory is being copied from the master to the reserve CPU, the reserve CPU requests a memory reset. This indicated in the diagnostic buffer by event ID W#16#6523." Check the diagnostic buffer first as suggested by Master WAGO. Have a look at the manual below (Chapter 12 detail the linkup/update procedure): http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/82478488 For some background reading see the PCS7 compendium part B, Chapter 5.1.5. H Parameters: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/63187287 Some practical tips how to set up the parameters. Think about it. Cheers: |

Hellosukrija razic, If I may add something to what the gentlemen had said, 1- Do you have RAM or FLASH? 2- Are you sure the same software is loaded to both memory cards (in case of FLASH)? 3- Do you have any VAT or monitoring window open while you try to switch over? Best regards, H-H

Hello again, we exange memory module in CPU in Rack 1, but synchronization failed again, in attachemnt are diag buffers, What i see main reason is following: "Synchronization error in operating system due to incorrect data occurred in: Master CPU in rack 0, no relevance for user:b8 No relevance for user (Z2): 0b04 , (Z3): 0000 Requested OB: CPU redundancy error OB (OB72) Priority class: 28 Incoming event" any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hi, That is a strange one. Actually I am guessing here. I think something inconsystent so the linkup interrupted. Have a look at the S7 400H manual a under chapter "12.3.3 Switch to CPU with modified configuration or expanded memory configuration". You can read there: "The contents of the load memory are not copied from the master to the reserve CPU." Maybe that is what causing the inconsystency. The S7-400H manual avaliable here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/82478488 Also I searched the forum for simlar issue, there is some suggestion in here: /tf/WW/en/Posts/77959 Have a think about this. Just an other thougth crossed my mind: are you sure that the 2CPU have the same content in load memory? If the reserve CPU was mres-ed and do not have the SW in the memory it maybe the cause of inconsystency. Just an other thing you could doublecheck. Keep us updated how are you getting on.
