I just know that on dualcore cpus it is only allowed to run WinAC on one core, Windows on the other. This is due to the Interval Zero technology parts as far as I know, but I guess they're working on a solution. |

Hello Tom, Yes,I found outthat WinAC RTX can only use one core. But a multicore still has an advantage. WinAC RTX can take one core totally for itself (dedicated). The other core can handle the Windows/HMI tasks. In Shared mode, unused resources from the "WinAC" core can also be used by windows. For all details: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/27153991 I don't know why the default configuration is "Dedicated Mode" as "Shared Mode" looks more efficient.
