I believe you will find it under Additional Field Devices / I/O. If not, I believe you can find the .gsd file here https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?query=6ES7+153-2BA01-0XB0&func=cslib.cssearch&content=skm%2Fmain.asp&lang=en&siteid=cseus&objaction=cssearch&searchinprim=0&nodeid0=10805317&x=23&y=6 and import it from the hardware manager Options/import new gse. You may have to select all files. Nevermind, I attached the .gsdAttachmentIM153-2.ZIP (574 Downloads) |

I am duplicating your problem. The 153-2BA01GSD file allows you to use the 153-2 module as an ET-200M head under Step7 5.3, but does not support the Y-Link function. I did find a Siemens-Internal FAQ (http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/23872929) that discusses the issue in the context of PCS7, but does not indicate whether the problem applies outside of PCS7. In PCS7 versions prior to using Step 7 v5.4, the 153-2BA01 was not supported, so could not be used. The work-around was to use a 6ES7 153-2BA81 module, included in the 6ES7 197-1LA10-0XA0 Y-Link bundle. The 153-2BA81 module would accept a hardware configuration for an IM157 Y-link. I recommend that you contact Siemens technical support to see if there are any known work-arounds, andyour Siemens saleperson to see if you can wangle either a swap for a 153-2BA81, or an upgrade to Step 7 5.4. |

I have 153-2BA01-0XB0 module. In my HW cofig it is placed in PROFIBUS DP/DP-PA Link. By the way i dont have 153-2BA00-0XB0 module ^) I have uploaded my project - i guess you can simply copy blocks from my HW into yours. I have deleted everything exept this link.
PS. I have v 5.3 + SP3 + HW updates from internet by 01 Sep 2006.
