Simatic Logon updated: Will the existing Logon Remote Access licences still work

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 9/2/2025 Posts: 16290 Rating: (1930)	Hello Hendricus I´m not 100% sure but the Simatic Logon Remote Access licenses you can by do have no version listed in the product description, so I would thing they are still the same only the Simatic Logon Service License V1.5/1.6 has to be upgraded to V2.0 if you use the newer Version. Here there are also upgrade packages available. Also Im not sure if Simatic Logon V2.0 is compatible with WInCC Comfort/Advanced... If you do not find an answer you can also try to open a Service request at SIemens Support or contact your local Siemens Sales/Presales Contact Bye Murof

Hendricus Member Joined: 2/11/2020 Last visit: 8/1/2025 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I had contact with Siemens support. Just like TIA portal the Simatic Logon is backwards compatible. Simatic Logon 1.6 can use v2.0 license keys and Simatic logon v2.0 can use v1.0 license keys.
