RF310R _Card HID 13.56Mhz

I currently have configured: Step 7 V13 (Tia Portal) -CPU315 -2 DP -SM338 - Reader RF 310R - HID's iCLASS 13.56 MHz I would like to know how to start. If the RF 310R reads HID's iCLASS® 13.56 MHz? There are libraries or examples of programs to be able to test? I have to use the FB45 ??? Thanks.

Ident Posts: 3 Rating: (3)	Hello nmbpt, You cannot use an SM 338 to connect a RF 310R reader. You need to use the special communication moduled for the same. Ans if you are using TIA portal to configure the readerthenexcept ASM 475, you can use ASM 456 (for Profibus), RF 180C (for Profinet) can be used. And for the above communication modules you can either use the new Ident Profile blocks or you can migrate the FB 45 blocks from Simatic manager to TIA portal. Refer the below link for more detail. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/77467630 As for as communication with the HID tag, we need to know the protocol with which the Tag operates. Our Rf 310Rwill RF 300 Mode (proprietyfor Siemens) or ISO 15693 standard (which isa open standard). As long as the HID reader uses the ISO 15693 protocol, you will be able read/write data using the RF 310R reader. Regards Suresh

You would need a RF160C or a ASM475. Your RF310R can read those HID transponders if you configure "ISO mode" in the reader HW config. Here is an application example for your needs: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/63969277 As you mentioned, you can also use FB45 for your solution.
