sfestiva Posts: 48 Rating: (0)	So the 1200 has: "Up to 50 KB of integrated work memory is provided witha floating boundary between the user program and user data.Up to 2 MB of integrated load memory and 2 KB of integrated retentive memory are also provided. " Do you all know how can the retentive memory be increased more than the 2KB? The S7-1200 can retain all 24KB on the S7-226, how can the 1200 have more retentive memory? Thanks

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 11/14/2024 Posts: 4352 Rating: (1452)	Hi, the S7-1200 has retentive memory for all program (code). The 2k Bytes is just for variables. It is less of S7-200 / 300 however, in the S7-1200 it is possible to adjust the retentivity variable per variable. This means that you can set 1024 Analogic variables or 16000 binary variables. It is enought for most of the applications.

sfestiva Posts: 48 Rating: (0)	Thanks Pegaia I am ok with the program being retentive, I dont have a problem with that. It is the variable or tags memory retention where I am having problems. It seems that only 2KB can be used to retain tags/variables data, and unfortunately this not enough... I have alot of variables (arrays) that need to have their data retained. Is there any way around this?
