For a complete list of modules that support redundant IO operation please refer the table 10.2 (pg 137 to 143) inS7400H Fault taulerant system manual. (edition 2/2009)

However when I created a new project, I could configure redundancy. It seems to me it's a matter of versions and service packs so I hope you have STEP7 V5.4 with latest service pack. daga Gold Member Joined: 3/18/2009 Last visit: 5/6/2024 Posts: 306 Rating: (94)	Hello ambrish, The H-CPU version is 2.1 in the project you posted. Redundant IOs are only supported from H-CPU version 3.1 and above. Change CPU in HW config. You should see the redundancy tab. regards.

ambrish Bronze Member Joined: 11/8/2006 Last visit: 10/22/2024 Posts: 57 Rating: (4)	Thank you very much.I was able to open project except IM 153-2 R5 .I was able to see redundancy TAB as well.Please kindly note that I am working on several Redundant systam(CPU redundant as well as I/O redundant).When I am uploading station than also I am able to see redundancy option in all signal modules. So am I doing any mistake in configuration of CPU?Or something else? Please reply. Thanks Ambrish NB:I am having V5.4 SP1

When I selected H CPU with version 4.0,I was able to see redundancy TAB.Now when I am configuring redundant module,I am not getting same adress,ie if I selecte one DI in say Profibus Network 1 and than its redundant module in Profibus Network 3.Shoud I have same adress for redundant DI as well? It's correct. The modules will always have different addresses. However, you have to use only the lower adresses in your program. I don't have a sample program, my be someone will help you with that. I would suggest reading the help of the redundant IO library blocks. They are pretty much what you need to understand and configure IO redundancy. Just couple of quick tips, The redundancy library blocks creates two DBs when CPU is in run. Make sure you don't use these DBs in offline program. The DB numbers (that are auto created) are selected in CPU properties. Use PIP and time interrupt OBs. (at least for the analog outputs) You cannot use PIWs and PQWs. Every IO has to be accessed in Periphery Image in the CPU. Select the right library as per your requirement and use the blocks from only one library. This threadand the links in this thread.

scorpio888 Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	You need at least two (2) DI modules to have redundancy in SM. From your setup, you only have one SM right now. If you insert another DI module, save and compile your project. Then go back in the properties of the DI module, you should see the redundant tab. Scorpio888
