No. Only when CPU0 is available (and in run mode - master or standby), then CPU1 will have access to IO modules in rack 2 and rack 4.
No. Nothing else is required except the 2 sync cables. I would suggest reading chapter 10 ofthis manual. This should solve all your doubts.

Hello Kareto, For one sided switched I/Os you need to buy what so called Red. Bundle for each distributed rack. The Red bundle has a single part number but comes with three parts. two of IM153-2 and a single active busmodule (IM/IM)(Active back plane). In Hardware configuration you won't find Red. Bundle and you will just find IM153-2. However, you will find the DP slave connected to both DP Masters. Take care because you also need active busmodules for signal modules. To know the count and part numbers you require, Please go to slave properties in HW configuration and check operating parameters. Best regards. H-H |

Dear All, I wanted to make a system with CPU as well as signal module redudant.I made configuration(attachment).But some how I am able to make only CPU redundancy not signal module redundancy.When I am checking property of signal module(Digital Input),redundancy tab option is not coming.
