H systems with not redundant IO moduls

How can I configure single-channel, one-way configuration with single input/output modules without using distributed IO devices? Can I connect some racks with single input/output modules,to both of CPU s via IM modules? thanks Karen

Kareto How can I configure single-channel, one-way configuration with single input/output modules without using distributed IO devices? Let's first define the followings: Definition of single-channel one-sided I/O A single-channel, one-sided configuration contains only one set of I/O modules (single-channel) which is installed only in one of the two units, and only addressed by this unit. A single-channel, one-sided I/O configuration is possible incentral racks and expansion devices • distributed I/O devices.An installation with single-channel, one-sided I/O is useful for the operation of stand-alone I/O channels and system components which only require the standard availability. Definition of single-channel switched I/O A single-channel switched configuration contains only one set of I/O modules (single-channel). In redundant mode, these can addressed by both system units.In stand-alone mode, the master unit can always address all switched I/O (in contrast to one-sided I/O). The system supports single-channel switched I/O configurations containing an ET 200M distributed I/O module with active backplane bus and a redundant PROFIBUS DP slave interface module IM 153-2 or IM 153-2FO (permissible IM 153-2: 6ES7 153-2AA02-0XB0 version 7 or higher; permissible IM 153-2FO: 6ES7 153-2AB01-0XB0 version 6 or higher). Each S7-400H unit is interconnected with one of the two DP slave interfaces of the ET 200M via a DP master interface. PROFIBUS PA can be interconnected with a redundant system using DP/PA-Link (permissible IM 157: 6ES7 157-0AA82-0XA0). A single-channel DP master system can be interconnected with a redundant system y means of Y-coupler. Supported IM 157 - Y-coupler combinations: Kareto Can I connect some racks with single input/output modules,to both of CPU s via IM modules? thanks Karen Yes you can by using both ways: Single Channel switched I/Os or Y-Link. But do not forget to consider the limitations of the Y-Link. Regards,

Is this system works? what is happened if CPU0 in rack 0 fault is the CPU1 go on with process and have access to IO modules in rack 2 and rack 4? are there any communications required betwin rack 0 and rack 1 for correct work, exapt of 2 optical syncronization cabels? The system will work as "Single-channel, one-sided I/O system" Kareto what is happened if CPU0 in rack 0 fault is the CPU1 go on with process and have access to IO modules in rack 2 and rack 4? No. Only when CPU0 is available (and in run mode - master or standby), then CPU1 will have access to IO modules in rack 2 and rack 4. Kareto are there any communications required betwin rack 0 and rack 1 for correct work, exapt of 2 optical syncronization cabels? No. Nothing else is required except the 2 sync cables. I would suggest reading chapter 10 ofthis manual. This should solve all your doubts.

Kareto Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hi again I configured one side switched redudancy using ET200M with IM153-2 6ES7 153-2BA01-0XB0 like shown in picture(redudancy of yy1's post)but as I see from other picture thatthere are only one Profibus DP port in IM153-2. Am I need to use 2 modules in each ET200M? if yes then how it connected and compiled in HW config with one IM153-2 (pic redudancy of yy1's post)? Thanks all Attachment IM 153-2.JPG (529 Downloads)

The Red bundle has a single part number but comes with three parts. two of IM153-2 and a single active busmodule (IM/IM)(Active back plane). In Hardware configuration you won't find Red. Bundle and you will just find IM153-2. However, you will find the DP slave connected to both DP Masters. Take care because you also need active busmodules for signal modules. To know the count and part numbers you require, Please go to slave properties in HW configuration and check operating parameters. Best regards. H-H Attachment BUS UNITS.JPG (539 Downloads)

Bundle with 2 IM 153-2 s? Hi Kareto No you have to use the redundancy bundle for H PLC. Actually each IM in the redundancy bundle will be the respective slave for the respective CPU. It is not possible to have an IM slave to 2 CPUs and so it does not work iwth one Iwith 2 DPs Krish
