6EP1437-2BA20 negative pole GND

Hello, good afternoon,

I am a junior starting out in the field of electrical engineering and currently working in a company within the same domain. I have encountered a doubt.

In power supplies, is the positive pole supposed to be connected to ground? My specific question pertains to the power supply model 6EP1437-2BA20. Is it internally configured in this manner or does it require external configuration?

I extracted information regarding the positive pole being connected to ground from a post where I noticed a corresponding image attached.

I suppose you mixed up negative and positive in your post.

Any serious power supply does NOT have the negative grounded, if you want it you have to do it externally. for this exact reason a lot of power supplies do have one more negative terminal then the positives.

Most people will tell you if you don't ground the negative terminal the world will end.

I never do it.

There are positive and negative sides on both sides of the argument.
