You can do the calibration with the Siwatool-software.

It’s quite comfortable to work with the Siwatoll-software:

You see all parameters with the Siwatool-software, and when there are issues during the calibration,

it’s easy to find the cause of the issue.

But the Siwatool-software isn’t a must.

You can also do the calibration via the PLC and your S7-program:

In General:

If you would like to execute a command from the PLC to the Siwarex CS, do the following procedure, please:

- open the DB_SCALE of the Siwarex CS module

- open the structure “s_CMD1”

- write the command code to “s_CMD1.i_CMD1_Code”

- set one-time the bit “s_CMD1.bo_CMD1_Trigger”

Do a calibration via the PLC in this way:

1. Read DR3 parameters (= structure “s_JUST_DAT” in the DB_SCALE)  from the Siwarex module to the PLC:

Execute the command “203”

2. Observe the command executing. The feedback-flags can be seen for one PLC-cycle:

Is the flag "s_CMD1.bo_CMD1_FinishedOK = 1 ? => Command executing was OK

Is the flag "s_CMD1.bo_CMD1_FinishedError = 1 ? => Command executing was not OK!

3. Set in the DB_SCALE in the structure “s_JUST_DAT” the parameter “i_CALIB_WEIGHT1”  to that calibration weight, which you will use for the calibration.

4. Write DR3 parameters (= structure “s_JUST_DAT” in the DB_SCALE) from the PLC to the Siwarex module:

Execute the command “403”

5. Observe the command executing. The feedback-flags can be seen for one PLC-cycle:

Is the flag "s_CMD1.bo_CMD1_FinishedOK = 1 ? => Command executing was OK

Is the flag "s_CMD1.bo_CMD1_FinishedError = 1 ? => Command executing was not OK!

6. Calibration step 1: with an empty tank:

Execute the command “3”

7. Observe the command executing. The feedback-flags can be seen for one PLC-cycle:

Is the flag "s_CMD1.bo_CMD1_FinishedOK = 1 ? => Command executing was OK

Is the flag "s_CMD1.bo_CMD1_FinishedError = 1 ? => Command executing was not OK!

8.Calibration step 2: put your defined calibration weight on the scale. Afterwards:

Execute the command “4”

9. Observe the command executing. The feedback-flags can be seen for one PLC-cycle:

Is the flag "s_CMD1.bo_CMD1_FinishedOK = 1 ? => Command executing was OK

Is the flag "s_CMD1.bo_CMD1_FinishedError = 1 ? => Command executing was not OK!

10. Read DR3 parameters (= structure “s_JUST_DAT” in the DB_SCALE) once again from the Siwarex module to the PLC (because some data changed during the calibration inside the Siwarex CS module):

Execute the command “203”

11. Observe the command executing. The feedback-flags can be seen for one PLC-cycle:

Is the flag "s_CMD1.bo_CMD1_FinishedOK = 1 ? => Command executing was OK

Is the flag "s_CMD1.bo_CMD1_FinishedError = 1 ? => Command executing was not OK!
