Can't you just loop through the 2 cards (current loops) or connect in parallel (voltage signals)? |

Hi, Techsavvy, Please find attached two schematics for typical configuratin of AI and AO redundancy with the help of siemens system. Please note that 1. for configuration of AI redundancy you have to use your module in voltage mode. i.e.intermediate board would becurrent to voltage convertor. 2. for configuration of AO redundancy you have to use module in Current mode. i.e. By concept output modules share the output load if 8mA to be supplied to field, one module suplies 4mA and other supplies 4mA and with the help of diode boards bothcuurrents are added and given to final control element. (i never checked on live system the individual current but i believe so!!! ) Hope this data would help. in case of any clarification please ping me once.
