Can obsolete power supply be one to one replaced with its Successor

Hello Everyone,

I have existing Power Supply 6ES7407-0RA00-0AA0 SIMATIC S7-400, PS 407 POWER SUPPLY, 20A, 120/230V AC, 5V/20A DC which is faulty and this Product is no longer available

So, Can I one-to-one replace it with its Successor 6ES7407-0RA02-0AA0

As per the information given it the link

Existing - Width of 6ES7407-0RA00-0AA0 is 75 mm and required 3 Slots and

New - Width of 6ES7407-0RA02-0AA0 is 50 mm and required 2 Slots.

So, Only hardware replacement will work or we need to shift all adjacent modules one slot to the right.

As, we don't want to change any hardware configuration of the existing system.

Please Suggest.

You don't need to move the modules to the left side or modify the hardware configuration , just install the power supply on slot 1 and 2 and leave slot 3 empty.
