Parameter P0310, this sets the motor rating frequency, from the nameplate. Setting this as you have will cause incorrect readings, and operation; hence the over heat. The setting for the speed / Hz, should come from an analogue input or serial, USS or Profi> Yes these devices refer to rpm rather than Hz which is not so easy to use, the code being sourced from servo drives, so there is no easy switch to get Hz, and you are not missing anything. I have attached a drawing for PI control, whilst this refers to 'stairwell pressure control', the configuration is similar, and should help with getting the control correct.
