how to configure s7-300 and s7.1200 communication through Profibus if I have CM1242-5 module?

how to configure s7-300 and s7.1200 communication through Profibus if I have CM1242-5 module?

So in my case 313C-2DP will be master and CP1242-5 slave.

IS there any example for 300<-->1200 communication?

Hi,

Consider at master PLC side.

You need to insert the GSD file of slave, then in slot, configure the transfer area.

'Say slot 1 you configured OUT 1WORD and slot 2 IN 1WORD.

then in s7 1200 CM transfer area, configure two trnsfer area.

Slot 1 should be IN 1WORD, Slot 2 should be OUT1WORD.

This is what mentioned as "reverse order of data"

I have similar problem. And I found the solution.

In hw config of s7-300,:
1: added gsd for CM-1242 address 3
then added 16 byte input and 16 byte output
2. DP address 2

in hw confihg of CM in tia:
1. added subnet profibus_1
2. address of cm-1242 is 3
3. then added transfer area 1 16 byte output and transfer area 2 16 byte input

Look at the order of byte in hw config. You need to provide reverse order of data to work properly.

I did the same configuration but in my case it is s7-400;

But it is not communicating and in the cm1242 module both diag and error led's blinking continuesly. 

Any idea about this....

I succeeded to sending 1 byte to s7 1200. But when try 2 byte or up something s7 300 had sf fault. Why only i can send 1 byte? Is there anyone has any idea?
