Hello Callsg, I have not set up SOE. So I have no guidance but you might findthe following link helpful. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/10805045/133000 In the FAQs search for Time Stamping as I believe Siemens uses this term instead of SOE. |

Hi callsg,
I wish if you can give me a document that says thatevery fail safeDI module supports SOE. The SOE and as Safety1 had said is named here time stamping. SOE depends on three elements: 1-CPU (DP master of S7-400 can be used for time stamping) 2-Interface module (ET200M & ET200isp can be used but as far as I remember quite few modules can give you time stamping better than 10msec) 3-DI modules (The module should support hardware interrupts or in other words time stamping) I was stuck in this situation one year ago and I just didn't know how to configure SOE with fail safe cards. To the best of my knowledge SM326 doesn't support time stamping in both standard and fail safe configurations. This manual tells how to configure SOE in PCS7. I don't believe there will be a difference between what you want to do and what you will find in this manual. Just know what ET200 you should use and what cards will give you time stamping. You will have to use some software blocks and I don't know if these blocks can be inserted in safety CFC chart or not. I hope someone could make SOE in FH systems tell us how he could manage it but until you are sure that it is possible to do it with fail safe modules, I recommend to add another ET200M station with appropriate standard digital input modules that would support time stamping. Best regards. |
