Hi Friends, I am new to S7-400H system but know the basic configuration related to H-system.At present i have S7-417 -4H with 2 Ethernet CP in rack-0 n rack-1system with Wincc7.0 for HMI.I want answer for following Qs.May b very easy but i couldn't find answer on this forum. 1) I have 2DI module and 1 DO module on One ET-200 slave and same set of module on2nd ET-200 Slave.I want to make 2nd ET's module as a redundant for 1st ET.Wht to do in STEP-7??as i read S7-400H system manual's chapter no 10 but in vain. [schnippschnapp] second question is splitted to Is there any function like change connection in winccflexible?. Thanks in Advance |

Hello Plc engineer,
It's true that the manual doesn't tell you much regarding what to do in hardware configuration however it is still very important to understand chapter 10 very well. Redundant I/Os require, 1- Hardware configuration. To understand what you have to do in details you will find yourself obliged to go through one of PCS7 documents which is Configuration of Redundant I/O Modules. Just read what is related to hardware configuration and leave the programming part as you will be using STEP7. 2- Software blocks. The software blocks are briefly explained in chapter 10 however and for more understanding you will have to press F1 on each block of the RED_IO library in STEP7.
