PID COMPACT NOT WORK AFTER CONFIGURATION

FRANCK HERVE Bronze Member Joined: 2/10/2015 Last visit: 10/5/2024 Posts: 288 Rating: (1)	hi everyone, I use the compact PID block to read the volume of a tank, I called the PID in cyclic interrupt(OB30) and I use a PLC S7-1200(1214C AC/DC/RLY), but after configuring the compact PID, I see that nothing is working and all the outputs are at zero, and there I am stuck, I really need your help to understand why the block is not working in order to help me to solve the problem to get the desired operation. see attached file of what I did as configuration. thank you for helping me and best regards. PID_Compact does not support simulation for CPU 1200, only for CPU 1500. And the screenshot of your PID call shows that you use the Input tag, but in the configuration (screen2) usage of Input_PER tag is configured. If you actually use the Input tag, the input selection should be changed accordingly. With your configuration PID_Compact should start in automatic mode (Mode/State = 3). You can change the operating mode by assigning the desired value at Mode tag and activate it with an edge at ModeActivate tag. Regards

I am going to carry out tests with the PLC 1500. Indeed, I have identified an error concerning the input that I selected, and I am going to connect it to the input_per input. Concretely, I tried to use the PID_compact block with the PLC 1214C AC/DC/RLY. The reason is that I want to obtain the following result in my programming: when the value of the analog input of the PLC, to which I will connect my sensor (0-10V), increases, I want the output of the block that I 'I will use in my program decreases, and when the analog input decreases, the output of the block increases. Can you recommend the appropriate block to use to achieve this result in my programming with the PLC 1214C? Thank you for being able to help me. Sincerely.
